Slow-cook

Meat Pang - Slowcook

As its name suggests, this cooking method involves a long period of time and is perfect for tougher cuts of meats or preparation of stews (check out our beef stew recipe here). Contrary to sautéing or grilling, lower temperatures are used here in order to better retain the moisture and flavour.

You can use a slow cooker for this, or a simple lidded pot on the stove or oven. This method is perfect if you want to devote minimal attention to your food while it cooks! Some ideal meats for slow cooking include Meat Pang’s oxtail, tendons, bone marrow, and brisket.
